An Obata-type characterisation of Calabi metrics on line bundles

Abstract

We characterise those complete Kähler manifolds supporting a nonconstant real-valued function with critical points whose Hessian is nonnegative, complex linear, has pointwise two eigenvalues and whose gradient is a Hessian-eigenvector.
